Matt Kenseth gets to start on the Pole Position at Texas Motor Speedway

That is not Matt’s car that’s wrecked…that was the pole sitter's car…
Matt Kenseth actually qualified 3rd.
However, The pole sitter, Ryan Newman, crashed his car on his second lap and will need to go to a back up car.
Whenever they have to go to a back up car or change an engine, etc., even if they qualified for the pole position, they are moved to the rear of the field and the car directly behind them is moved up to that starting spot.
Matt will still be on the books as starting 3rd for the NASCAR Cup race on Sunday, but physically his car will be on the front row!!!!!!
