Okay, no more stage dives for these NASCAR guys!
I was watching SPEED Channel's "Trackside" with Elliott Sadler as a host. I had recorded it, so it was a few hours later. He did a stage dive and you couldn't see where he landed, the cameras panned away and they announced he might have hit his head. I start frantically searcing the web for an update on his condition. "Sadler injured? is OK more: at the end of Speed Channel's Trackside show Friday, Jeff Hammond dove off the stage into the crowd, which caught Hammond [unlike the Penske crewman at the Nextel Challenge], Elliott Sadler, driver of the #38 M&M's Ford for RYR, was also on the show, and before Hammond did his dive, he dared Sadler to join him, after Hammond's successful dive, Sadler attempted his dive and slipped, supposedly sustaining some sort of head injury. The camera's moved away for the scene, Steve Byrne's the host of the show, mention Sadler may had injured his head, closed up the show and they signed off. As of 8:55pm/et, have not heard any updates on if Sadler is injured and if he is, how serious. Anything I find out off official nature will be posted.
UPDATE: John Roberts mentioned as Speed Channel's Tradin' Paint show that Sadler is fine after his mishap and will race on Sunday.
Elliott Sadler, driver of the #38 Ford in the Nextel Cup Series, sustained only minor injuries on Friday evening after a fall from a stage in Uptown Charlotte during the taping of the television program “Trackside Live” broadcast on The Speed Channel. After rain showers earlier in the evening, Sadler slipped from the outdoor stage due to the wet surface bruising his left thigh. He sustained no other injuries as previously reported. Sadler was seen by an onsite medical team and left under his own power. He will compete in the scheduled NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series events this weekend at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.(Elevation Group PR)(5-26-2006)"

I watched that too and was absolutely horrified. A bit later I searched Junior's Pit Board and they said Elliott fell on his face. I guess once everything is "weeded" out we'll know what really happened. It was scary though.
Cheyenne waht is your pit board name? As far as stage diving goes, Elliott what were ya thinkin??? They real reason they caught Hammond was to get the cash out of his pockets that he always flashes around.
I was watching also(thinking I should have been there and I could have caught him). I kept waiting for speed to go back but they never did...finally read about it in the paper this morning!!
wow..that was scary..didnt know anything about it..glad he is ok, you dont need anymore stress...
I caught the replay this morning and I was horrified. I am glad Elliott is ok.
