NASCAR set to use unleaded fuel in 2008
"DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- NASCAR on Friday announced that a special unleaded fuel has been developed and will be used by the start of the 2008 season as a result of its partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and its fuel supplier, Sunoco.
"We've been back and forth to the drawing board for several years to find an unleaded fuel that is compatible with NASCAR engines. NASCAR congratulates Sunoco and is proud of the progress it made on developing a fuel that works in NASCAR engines," said Gary Nelson, NASCAR's vice president of research and development."

Like it was mentioned on Clance's blog...Sorry, I think the billions of us people out on the highways are doing more damage than 43 unleaded cars every Saturday and Sunday.
Believe me, Dallas air isn't nice to breath during rush hour traffic. I'm all for making this a cleaner planet, but I think NASCAR plays a tiny role in the pollution of the earth. Okay, off soap box for now. Continue with life....

If these people are bitchin about 43 some odd cars, what about all the jet fuel and rocket fuel they use? Oh yeah that is right! That IS evviormnetally safe!!!!!
pretty soon NATZICAR will be running diesels so they can use the environment friendly stuff.
